The color of burned flesh…
Okay, I get why this blog thing is going to be fun. Here is a direct quote from my brother… a suggestion of sorts for the copy on our new website. Yes, this is the twisted stock from which I too descend…
“This little unassuming yarn reminds me of cool ocean breezes, sitting on my porch, as the soon to grow larger cries of pain and agony from my nephew’s burned foot carried itself on the wind. The color of this yarn looks a lot like flesh that has been burned in an unseen fire…”
Well, did we get the color of fire down? What might this bitter brother be referring to anyway?
Oh, just an unfortunate incident in which said nephew defied suggestions from the adult (?) supervision not to bury burning coals on the beach. Never a good idea. Clearly brother was not the supervising adult. This honor rested on sister, which she passed on to husband who fell asleep and eventually ended up being deposited unwittingly on young cousin. Okay, sorry already!!! If I remember correctly said child’s pain solution (placing blistered feet in the toilet for a cool down) happened on your duty… Poor supervision seems to run in the family…
